Mount Baker Baptist Association (MBBA)

Located in the beautiful northwest corner of Washington, the Mount Baker Baptist Association has a long legacy of encouraging, equipping and resourcing Southern Baptist pastors, ministry leaders, and churches (who are a part of MBBA) as they pursue fulfilling the Great Commission, and Great Commandment in their unique ministry settings.

Mount Baker Baptist Association has a rich diversity of cultures and languages.  MBBA is comprised of Hispanic, Korean, Filipino, Russian, and English-speaking congregations spreading across Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, and Island counties.  The association has legacy churches, mission status churches, and is looking to assist churches in new church plants.

While we share a variety of cultures, languages, and worship expressions, one of the things we share in common is the Gospel message:

“The … gospel is the good news that God saves sinners.  Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation.  But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.”

This is the gospel from the book of Romans:

  • Romans 3:23 niv   “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
  • Romans 5:8 niv   “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
  • Romans 6:23 niv   “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  • Romans 10:9-10 niv   “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
  • Romans 10:13 niv   “ …Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Mount Baker Baptist Association is seeking to aid the churches and missions of the association to be Christian communities where you can belong, believe, and become all that God desires for you.
